After visiting with Tom and Judy, I started driving down to Jamestown to visit my son Jon who is in prison there. This old barn caught my eye.
I don't think anyone could possibly mistake this for a public restroom, but apparently the owner had to put a sign up to reassure himself that we completely understood.
I camped at New Melones Lake and sat in the peace and quiet, watching these wild turkeys strut about.
This one male was doing everything possible to attract the females, but they simply were not interested!

I took a hike through the grasslands which reminded me of Teddy Roosevelt National Park.
The trail led through numerous oak trees and undulating rivers of tall grass swaying in the breeze.
